Sorry to sound like a twat but cannot get network connected to box.

Any help? Have dream elite installed and tried my settings but it fails at test phase:

    enable DHCP first of all

if that fails, check the lan cable

    if you n
know your ip set up ie, 192.168.1.1    (often your router)

i would set it as follows

    192.168.1.10

    255.255.255.0

192.168.1.1 as gateway (if that is your router address

    Hi Baz,
Did as above and I think it is connected now as I can now access the box via DCC; although the network still says unconfirmed for IP Address and Nameserver when tested.

I couldn't get the tuner configured [have a motor with DiSEqC 1.2] to pick any sats up.....which frustrated me as I spent a while on it [as sloth did]....and am calling it a night and try again another day.

My motor is all new and reconnected the TM9100S, and all is per usual.

    Hi guys,
Ok, network all configured, it just needed a reboot to recognise.
Now I have a tuner issue.  I dont think usuals work with me, I think it isnt accurate.
I tried advance settings as follows:

    Sat: 28.2e
    LNB: LNB1
    Priority: Auto
    LOF: Universal LNB
    Voltage mode: Polorization
    Increased voltage: Y
    Tone mode: band
    DiSEqC: 1.2
    Toneburst: None
    committed DiSEqC command: none
    fast DiSEqC: no
    seq repeat: no
    command order: committed, toneburst
    uncommitted DiSEqC command: none
    DiSEqC repeat: none
    Long
    Lat
use usals for this sat: yes

    Any help appreciated.

You do not need to reboot your machine to force ethernet connections.  I have posted a script www.allsats.co.uk/index.php?topic=3480.0 which will do the job from a tuxbox or telnet session.

The same post also has a script to show the current network condition.

if your dish/motor/pole is set up correctly USALS (if your motor is compatable) are your best option, but, if you preferr manually setting up your motor, this is how

1st use USALS TO DRIVE TO A KNOWN SAT,..IE 28 EAST (tuner A set to lnb 1)
    go to tuner configeration
disable USALS (no instead of yes)
set the motor drive to diasque 1.2
    after that
    go to positioner setup
select positioner movement / or fine movement (might be best) get best signal for 28 east,..then go to positioner storage, and save as position 28
then using this as a start point, find the sats your are after
once you have your best signal, go to positioner storage, and save ie; 19 east = 19
