What is the best image for the DM8000 that would be best for people who are new to Dreamboxes etc. Dave has given me the task of testing a few images just to see. I am ontrying the Nabilosat Blackhole 0.12 at the minute.

I use the BH0.12 as my image of choice ... i find it very good and stable...
Others to check are the EDG Nemesis image as a few use that without issue
Alternatively you could put OoZooN flash image in (this can be software updated to latest release through the image itself) and stick BH or EDG in multiboot

Quite a few here have gone for oozoon lean in flash with edg nem ver 1 rc3 in boot using Barry Allen.Reason is its familiar after using on the TM9101,there is also a new non invasive boot manager out as well developed by nabilo team. Dunc.

Thnx Robb, other question is can i get the DM8000 to read a card in the card reader on the official image or will i need a 3rd party image to access the card slots?

uummm good question ... never tried it on the 800, just went straight in and uploaded a new image .. if i was to hedge a guess i would say it would depend on the card and how dreamcrypt is setup ... but i'm not 100% sure

After some testing i cant get the DM8000 to read a card in the slots, reads in a cam no problem strange.
not sure where to go as it is new to me, I am using the Nabilosat 0.12 blackhole.

Will have to set up an emu such as CCcam to read the card slots I would suspect. Did the title always say 8000,must be going blind...  . Would think the choice is the same be it 800 or 8000. Dunc. |
